Itinerary:

Day 1 – Stone Town – Departure from the Airport for your flight to Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam. After clearing customs we head to the Dhow Palace Hotel in Stone Town and get briefed on the run down for the next couple of days. The Evening can be spent at the night markets enjoying the local seafood offered in its great variety. B&B

Day 2 & 3 – Stone Town – Early morning wake ups for our 2 dives a day off stone town’s Coast. While in stone town the afternoons will be spent discovering the town’s sites and sounds, going on a boat ride to Prison Island to marvel at the Giant Tortoises and part taking in a Stone Town Tour visiting the old Slave chambers and Livingstone House. There are a number of great restaurants in Stone Town offering wonderful Zanzibari cuisine for dinner. B&B




Day 4 – Kizimkazi - This morning we will head off to Karamba Resort in Kizimkazi. On the way we Stop to visit one of the Oman Sultan ruins where these rulers once had their harems and baths. The late afternoon will be spent on a Sunset Cruise in the Bay on a local fishing Boat. HB

Day 5 & 6 – Kizimkazi - The late morning of Day 5 will be spent finding the Dolphins, slipping into the ocean with them and spend time with these curious, fascinating creatures. The rest of the time here is free to spend Diving, Snorkeling, walking along the Beach and interacting with the locals. HB

Day 7 – Matemwe Beach Village – This morning we head to the East coast of the Island;. On the way we stop at the Spice Plantations to discover how Clover, Nutmeg, Mace, Pineapple, Coconut, Vanilla and many more spices are grown & processed. A light Zanzibari Tee & Lunch is served. At Matemwe Beach Village our beach set bungalows await us. After Acquainting ourselves with our surroundings we can enjoy a drink at the Bar and dinner in their fabulous restaurant. HB

Day 8 & 9 – Matemwe Beach Village – The next 2 days will afford us 4 dives (as part of the dive package) or optional snorkeling at any one of the following reefs with the afternoons at leisure. This is your opportunity to relax and spend your last few days in paradise. HB

Day 10 – Matemwe Beach Village – After our last dive in this pristine area we catch our transfer back to Stone Town. On our way back to Stone Town we stop off at the Jozini Forest where an interesting short walk through the forest takes us to the rare Red Kirk’s Colobus monkeys. These monkeys only occur on Zanzibar in this limited indigenous Forest. The Dhow Palace Hotel awaits us on our arrival back in Stone Town. B&B

Day 11 – Stone Town —The day is spent enjoying any missed sites of Stone Town or just relaxing or walking through the street; shopping, taking pictures, etc, before our flight back home B&B – Bed and Breakfast
