Tiger Sharks, Aliwal Shoal & Sodwana Bay

Duration: 1.5 weeks (10 Days)

Tour Description:
This Dive Expedition takes us to unique South African Dive Destinations. The dive sites visited fuse the best of 2 opposing currents. The warm Agulhas meets the cold Benguella current mixing up an array of tropical and cold water marine life. This occurrence thus brings with it a variety of Sharks. Sodwana Bay is well known for its array of colourful tropical fish and Aliwal Shoal for the Ragged Tooth and Tiger Sharks as well as a few interesting Wrecks. The Protea Banks are famous for their deep shark dives. Hammerhead, Ragged Toothed, Bull, Tiger, Copper, Thresher, Bronze Whaler and Black Tip Sharks can be seen on one dive making it the world’s best baitless, cageless shark dive spot in the world. A flexible attitude and an open mind can only contribute to the experience of a life time never to be repeated.

This unique dive will help us gain incite into these very misunderstood animals. The wreck dive takes us to The Produce, a Norwegian Bulk Molasses tanker, which struck Aliwal Shoal on the NE Pinnacles in 1974. Big game fish such as Salmon, Kingfish, Brindle Bass share the wreck with Lionfish and many colourful tropical species. Reef such as Cathedral, The pinnacles and Raggie Cave can also be visited.
